I only have eyes for you.

This song was The Flamingos only hit single.  They were one of the old school rock and roll groups that gave birth to what became R&B.  It's bluesy but with rock influence, depending on how you do it. It also features in 42nd Street, which I am about to start rehearsals for.  It used to remind me of someone, but really it's just a great, simple song.

A melody played at the penny arcade

So, I met this guy. And he's cool.  And this seems like an appropriate expression of where we are now. Hope he sticks around once school starts back up in august!

In other news, I am still a middle schooler in some aspects of life.

Back again, with wider horizons to span

Wow...ain't done this in quite a while. But hopefully I still have some things to say, and some songs to sing. The genres have changed, though some things never will. I find myself more experimental, clinging to anything with a soul both in and out of the musical theatre realm (though it'll always be my first love). Tomorrow I venture home to a lot of things I've been missing. New York, my friends, a guy. And you know me, there's always a song to go with it. I designed a dance show that included a beautiful modern dance choreographed for two couples. This was the soundtrack. Enjoy!
