props to Ann-Marie Milazzo and her brilliant vocal arrangements. that are not evident from this recording as i am one person, not 5. i'll have to go play garageband if i wanna make all 5 happen. there should be a tony for vocal arrangements. although i guess it's part of orchestrations. these took me such a long time to figure out! but now i love them. they're so well constructed over each other, although they all require an astounding vocal range! for example, ilse, whose songs suggest that she is the alto role, is on the melody. that chick gotta have range!
if i ever wind up in a she-cappella group rest assured this song will happen. maybe even in coed...who knows
the album art of course is already up. for some choice soloists, see me :)
now i'm listening to old school versions of this song...i have some good ones! it's just so pretty. the original mama song is such a great opener. it has the right rhythms and melodic quality, and then to couple it with the bouncy counterpart is just...great. solid opening, messrs. sheik and sater
PS this is my favorite wendla. whose camp are you in???
